Drifting Afternoon

Inspired by my years of blissful, serene days boating on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas, this piece captures a quintessential afternoon on the water. A golden sun glazes the lake in deep turquoise and indigo; high on a peaceful rocky cliff, a reader finds quiet refuge in the breeze while ski boats drift lazily across the glittering expanse below.

I specifically created this painting to support my two grandchildren’s elementary school, donating it to be auctioned off for the PTA fundraiser gala held at the very location depicted on the hill: The Oasis Restaurant.
